THE FINALS Update 10.12.0 Patch Notes: H+ Infuser Nerfed

Embark Studios has deployed Update 10.12.0 for THE FINALS, introducing the return of the experimental Respec Order playlist alongside a significant nerf to the dominant H+ Infuser healing gadget. The patch also kicks off the Sponsor Showdown leaderboard event and a massive progression boost called the XP Feast to help players complete their seasonal rewards. These changes are officially live across all platforms, as published on the official THE FINALS website and reported by Steam.

THE FINALS is a free-to-play, highly destructible team-based first-person shooter developed and published by Embark Studios. The game is currently available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, featuring fast-paced arena combat centered around cash-out mechanics.

Balance Changes

This update focuses its balance adjustments entirely on a single, high-performing gadget that has been warping the current utility meta.

  • H+ Infuser: Decreased H+ Infuser healing per shot from 14 to 11.

Embark Studios noted that the H+ Infuser has become the dominant healing device in the game due to its high efficiency combined with the high mobility and survivability of the Light build. While this nerf directly targets that synergy, the developers have indicated they are also looking at long-term solutions for Medium build survivability in high-level play. Similar to how other developers balance their titles, such as the recent adjustments seen in the Granvir Update 2.33.0, Embark is focusing heavily on community feedback to guide these changes.

What Changes in THE FINALS Respec Order 2.0?

The Respec Order 2.0 event returns to World Tour for a two-week run, introducing adjusted health pools and movement speeds for the Light, Medium, and Heavy builds along with new weapon and specialization balances. This experimental playlist serves as a live testbed for Embark to gather community feedback on foundational gameplay pacing. Players can share their thoughts directly in a dedicated channel on the official Discord server.

Alongside this event, players can participate in the Sponsor Showdown. By representing sponsors like ALFA ACTA and ISEUL-T, players earn points for their chosen faction. At the end of the season, all participants will receive sponsor-themed cosmetic rewards featuring the winning sponsor’s logo.

Progression Boosts and Twitch Drops

To help players finish their Battle Pass and Sponsor tiers before the season concludes, Embark has activated the XP Feast event. This event offers the following bonuses until the end of Season 10:

  • Daily Contracts: Earn up to 200% XP.
  • Gameplay: Earn up to 150% extra XP and Fans.

Additionally, players can earn the Greenroom Glitch weapon skin set via Twitch drops by watching any creator playing the game with drops enabled before July 2, 2026. The unlock requirements are:

  • Watch 1 hour to get the Greenroom Glitch ARN-220
  • Watch 2 hours to get the Greenroom Glitch Lewis Gun
  • Watch 4 hours to get the Greenroom Glitch P90

Bug Fixes

Update 10.12.0 addresses several UI, social, and gameplay bugs to improve general stability.

Cosmetics

  • Fixed an issue where Battle Pass Emotes and Inspects displayed incorrectly in bundle previews.
  • Corrected the text displayed on the ISEUL-T Trendline Track Jacket.
  • Updated the Brewed for Trouble bundle thumbnail to correctly display the Jinxbrew skin for the Glitch Grenade.

Gadgets

  • Data Reshaper: Fixed an issue where deployables attached to carriable objects would not get reshaped.
  • Data Reshaper: Improved targeting behavior for Lockbolt projectiles placed on uneven surfaces or high ledges.

Gameplay & Performance

  • Fixed a bug where interacting with Ziplines could unexpectedly teleport players across the map.
  • Resolved a rare crash that occurred during match startup or when utilizing the Instant Replay feature.

Social & UI

  • Fixed an issue where opening the console UI as a party leader would cancel active matchmaking.
  • Fixed the main menu party camera failing to zoom out for larger parties until voice chat was activated.
  • Controller users editing outfits will no longer have their list position reset to the top when exiting the Inspect menu.

Player Impact

The nerf to the H+ Infuser is the most disruptive gameplay change in Update 10.12.0. By slashing its healing-per-shot from 14 to 11, Embark is actively discouraging the hyper-aggressive pocket-healing playstyles that have dominated recent high-tier ranked lobbies. Light builds, which rely heavily on fast health recovery to offset their low health pools, will find themselves forced to play more cautiously. This change also indirectly elevates the viability of alternative support gadgets, as the raw utility gap between the H+ Infuser and standard healing options has narrowed significantly.

Meanwhile, the return of Respec Order 2.0 to World Tour will temporarily split the player base’s tactical approach. With altered health and movement values, players must adapt to faster or slower engagement tempos depending on their chosen build. This two-week window is crucial for players who want to influence the future balance of the game, as Embark is using this data to shape the core mechanics of upcoming seasons. For those looking to optimize their progression, combining the 200% Daily Contract XP boost with World Tour matches is currently the fastest way to max out the remaining Battle Pass tiers.
